According to Today, Mitchell explained that during "times of going through depression, suicidal thoughts, all these different things, and working on shows at the same time, God was there.” Mitchell also drew comparisons to his struggles with life as an actor who had to deal with many characters to the tragic story of Robin Williams. “Similar to Robin Williams when he was doing characters and bringing happiness to us all, right, same way with the characters that I was doing. I was bringing happiness within it but going through my own battles, you know?”

Kel Mitchell Is Reprising His Most Iconic Role For Good Burger 2 In November 2023
Mitchell is returning to the Hollywood spotlight by starring in the highly-anticipated Good Burger 2 alongside original cast member Kenan Thompson. Over 25 years after the original premiered, the iconic duo and Kenan and Kel will return through one of their most famous franchises. While Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell have briefly appeared together in recent years in the All That reboot and Saturday Night Live, Good Burger 2 will mark the feature film reunion of the two old friends. The Good Burger sequel, which was primarily filmed in Providence, Rhode Island, will be available to stream exclusively on Paramount Plus in late November 2023.
